Product Instructions and Information
ConstrictEase was developed and patented by a compression stocking wearer that was frustrated by the excessive tightness at the top of knee high compression stockings. This tightness was reducing the effectiveness of the sock by constricting flow. Using a "blocker" around part of the leg provided immediate relief.
This works better for some stockings than others. It's not designed to be perfect, but can work very well in reducing excess constriction.
Place this just under the top of the stocking. The front should be just to the inner side of the shin bone, wrapping toward the back of the knee. This is the part of the leg that people have the most trouble with. Experiment with what works best for you. Multiple units can be used, but could cause the top of the stocking to not hold it's position. The top edge of the unit should be right at the top edge of the stocking. Experiment with what works best for you and your particular stocking.

How does ConstrictEase work?
Some stockings have a tight upper band that can constrict the leg and reduce circulation. ConstrictEase distributes that pressure over a broader area, helping the stocking support circulation more effectively.
Instructions for wearing:
Placement - We’ve found that the most effective placement is about ¼ inch below the top of the stocking, starting slightly to the inside of the shin bone and extending toward the back of the calf. It should cover roughly one-third to one-half of the calf’s circumference. This may vary depending on the stocking, so feel free to experiment to find what works best for you. For some stockings, it works better to let the top edge of the device sit above the top edge of the stocking.
- Adjust the placement as needed to find the position that works best for your stockings and your legs.
- ConstrictEase may still leave light marks on the leg, but the compression will be distributed over a larger surface area and feel less intense.
Precautions:
- Do not wear ConstrictEase over an open wound, as it may cause irritation and slow healing. It can be worn over a bandage.
- Although the device is made from medical-safe plastic, discontinue use if any irritation occurs.
Tips:
- Try adjusting slightly around your leg. Stockings can vary considerably in how slippery they are. The primary area of excess constriction is the inner calf, and around part of the back of the calf.
Care Instructions:
- This should be washed daily with mild soap and warm water. It is not dishwasher safe.
Material:
ConstrictEase is made from polyethylene terephthalate (PETG), a medical-grade plastic commonly used in braces and orthotic devices. There are no known negative effects from normal skin contact. Although a material safety data sheet is not required for PETG, some manufacturers provide one voluntarily. You may request a copy by contacting us.
